STEAK FRY Open House Meeting

There were 35 guests at our October special meeting and ten membership applications were received – FANTASTIC!!  Thanks to all Lions who brought guests.  Also, sincere appreciation to Lion Howie Pickles for the excellent steaks and dinner, and to the grillers and kitchen workers.

CHRISTMAS PLANNING

Ideas for Christmas “basket” recipients?   Please let a board member know.

Lion Howie has agreed to give us the same fine dinner options this year for our Christmas Party on December 12th as he did last year.  That is just $15 per person, including tax, for appetizers, and a choice of steak, shrimp, chicken or walleye.

THE NEW SIGN IS COMING!

Our Lions Club has purchased a new sign for the Community Center.  The city will purchase and install posts.  Our volunteers will install it before winter, if possible.

** No “Lions Night Out” in November and December per Lion Don Pearson, however, Lion Robin Pearson is promoting Grace’s Ham Dinner on 11/11/11 (Friday) and YES, I will pay the Tail Twisters at our next meeting! Hope to see lots of Lions there! **

SUNSHINE CORNER

Please keep in prayers: Lions Larry Turner and  Bernie Touhey.
