GAMBLING UPDATES

Gambling Manager, Lion Jerry Feucht reports expansions of our gambling in that BAR BINGO will start in April at Fisherman’s Bay and a new pull-tab customer, Big Sandy Lodge, will start this spring also.  Gambling makes many donations throughout the year—some are Lions International charities, ANGELS, our local Food Shelf, etc.

FEBRUARY 13 MEETING

We had a lovely Valentine’s Dinner from our Lion Sheila Merritt, complete with decorations.   Thank you so much, Sheila!

Prior to this busy meeting ten McGregor Lions met for about an hour with eleven members of the Emily-Outing-Fifty Lakes Lions Club.

All of us learned from each other and some of us will try to get to one of their meetings.

Our poster winner, Dusty Demenge (and his dad Mark) were our guests and Dusty was awarded his prize.

Finally, we had two speakers from the Cass Lake Lions Club:  Carolyn Hegland on vision, and Bev Ladraaten on diabetes.

DONATION RECEIVED

The recently disbanded Jack-o-Lopes Club generously donated $2,000 to our Lions Club.  Lion Ken Boyd was a charter member of this club.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PLEASE!

Bingo CANTEEN helpers are needed for the upcoming Bingo season--please contact Pam Hoover.  Other Bingo workers could also be used per Jerry Feucht.  Also needed are one or two more photographers to help Lion Jessie.

SUNSHINE CORNER

Please keep in prayers:  Lions Ron Adams, Bernie Touhey, Barb & Bob Johnson, Evelyn Swedberg, and Willy O’Brien.
