CHRISTMAS PARTY

Our Christmas party is our time to dress up a bit, bring guests and celebrate the holiday season.  There will be many door prizes, plus some good entertainment by new Lions, Mike & Jan Cherry!

As last year, it will be only $15 per person including tax, appetizers and your choice of steak, shrimp, walleye, or chicken.  The Lions Club will pick up the tip.  Hope to see you there on the 12th at 5:30.

MEETING/DINNER RESERVATIONS

Our Club has four volunteers that are really behind the scenes, but help tremendously with the smooth-running of our meetings/dinners.

These are "The Callers":  Lions Pat Boyd, Betty Thompson and Jan Christensen.  They call their lists of members for each meeting to get a count for Sheila so she can prepare enough food, but not too much.  They call in their count to Lion Evelyn Swedberg who then calls Sheila (or whoever is preparing our meal).

Each member's responsibility is to give as accurate information as possible to their caller.  Be sure to include any guests you may be bringing, and to attend if you say you will.  The club has to pay for the number of meals that were called in, even if not that many are consumed.  Running short of food is not a good situation either.  THANK YOU TO ALL.

NEW MEMBERS GALORE

TEN new members were inducted on November 28th by PDGs Adolph and Carroll Kukowski.

WELCOME  to:  Mike & Jan Cherry, Marlis Floe, Judy Winges, Karen Oleson, Curt & Paula Graff, Sheila Merritt, William and Lisa O'Brien.

CONVENTION Jan. 6-8, 2012

So far there are eleven going to the convention in Mahnomen.  There will be car pooling if there is not a bus, however, we're still hoping for final word on a bus and the cost.  If more folks want to attend, please let Mike Jackson or Don Pearson know.

SUNSHINE CORNER

Please keep in prayers:  Lions Evelyn Swedberg, Bernie Touhey, & Barb Johnson.
